Cattle Battle

Based on the “Battle Cattle” role playing game battle system. This video game is similar to Combat (yes, the Atari game) and D-Zone (the DOS game). You get a cow and can trick it out with all sorts of weapons, and the cows fight it out on a battlefield.

Gameplay Concepts

Weapons

Weapon types include direct-fire (hit on collision), ballistics (can't hit until it lands, splashes everything in radius), spawnings (spawn chicken, landmines, and mini-cow units), and horn-to-horn. Weapons can be ranged and/or explosive.

Cowtipping

Weapons can do both force and injury damage. A cow that takes enough force damage to a side at once will tip over; This cow cannot fire or be hit by direct fire until it stands, and the cow whose fire did the tipping will get bonus points.

Chickens

Chickens can be strapped onto a cow for transport and launched during battle. They will home in on enemy chickens and cows, engaging with claws. They can be shot down pretty easily. Cows can basically become aircraft carriers in this sense.

Weight

Weapons and modifications can weigh down a cow and make its movements slow. Expending ordinance will lighten up a cow.

  • Hormone injection (increases carry weight)
  • Extra pair of legs (increases speed and carry weight)
